EXIT project’s bassist, guitarist and soundproducer Oleg Smirnov and virtuoso tabla, drummer and soprano sax player Kirill Parenchuk are about to complete their 3-year collaboration on ‘Son Cherished Most’ album.
“It’s purely studio work, that we were working on virtually sending recorded parts to each other via internet and only gathered together to record drums and bass parts for 3 songs. For me this is a remarkable work that is actually a summarizing and conclusion of the entire period of my musical life and thinking of a decade. This work traces the influences such as Bill Frisell, Jan Garbarek, David Sylvian, Eivind Aarset and more. I have changed since then and the newer works carry already different kind of feel…” – comments Oleg – “you can work more thoughtful and deeper in a smaller band, and here are my works with Kirill’s input and his works with mine.” Mikhail Vasilyev is now working on the album art for the CD.
“We are also filming a documentary on the album and it’d concept” Wait for the updates!
